English:
This program posts all songs played in Virtual DJ on an adjustable Twitter account.
The program accesses the file tracklist.txt which is created by Virtual DJ. Virtual DJ writes all played songs with timestamp and date to this file. Virtual DJ Twitter client reads this file every 30 seconds and posts the new songs on Twitter.
Here you can read how I got the idea for the program (in german).

Um das Programm auszuführen wird Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 benötigt.

Nice that this will be available for other DJ applications.
I have created a web page to collect the information DJs publish. But at the moment I am just listing Richie Hawtin: http://sets.krass.com/

Sehr schön.
Rauf auf sourceforge damit. Oder willst du’s proprietär halten

Dude, make one for ScratchLIVE. This is a very good idea. make it blow up by making it go mainstream with the Dj software that’s most widely used.

Great idea, but will this work over the long run?

I tried it at a few parties. Worked fine over 3-4 hours.

Give me a shout if you (or anyone else) start publishing to twitter. I really would like to add more people to sets.krass.com .
It would be good if you use the same format as Hawtin, but it isn’t that important.

I’ll do so. But I’m just a hobby DJ.
I’m planning to release a new version of the client in September or October. Then it should be possible to self determine the format of the Tweets.
By the way, the Twitter Account I made for the program is http://twitter.com/vdj_twitt

Hey,
wirklich sehr, sehr gutes Programm. Schön wäre wenn man davo noch irgendwas schreiben könnte. Zum Beispiel Aktuelles Lied: Titel und dann zum einstellen ohne Zeitstempel. Ist aber nur eine Inspiration.

Hi, this is an excellent program and I’m going to use it at all my gigs from now on.
Can I submit it to the virtual DJ website please (obviously with your name on) so that more people will be able to find it and use it?
Many thanks

Just downloaded this little ap and am dying to try it, but it keeps telling me my user or pass is incorrect, I know they are correct as I just signed in on their website. I even added a open rule to windows firewall in case that helped, but to no avail. Using windows 7 x64. tried running in XP mode, and with admin rights too but it still tells me my pass is incorrect.
Thanks
Kym
